The essence of our organization exists in our human spirit – the spirit and passion of those that serve and the spirit and determination of those who accept our services.
The Platte PEER Group is a non-profit founded in 2003 to mange Bader Park to ensure it's legacy in providing a safe and educational place for people to experience the outdoors.
In 2014 the Platte PEER Group purchased their first section of abandoned railway from Hwy 30 to one mile south of Central city. Since then, the non-profit has added 7 more miles and continues to work to maintain and expand the Dark Island trail.
In this section you will find all that you need to know about our people, mission, and history. Once you take the time to find out what we’re all about, we are confident you will want to be engaged with our organization.
Our board consists of nine volunteer members. They donate their time and knowledge to create an inclusive environment for the public to enjoy the great outdoors in a safe and educational environment.
